Overview

This one-day symposium designed for pediatricians, family physicians and other healthcare providers will explore approaches to puzzling patient presentations, explicitly focusing on navigating complex diagnostic dilemmas and refining differential diagnoses.

Our diverse panel of specialists will lecture on recurrent infections, persistent rash, the effects of stress and physical presentation. connective tissue disorders, management of PANDAS,  hypermobility symptoms, pediatric insomnia and a full-hour dedicated to some challenging firm rounds cases.

Objectives

1. Apply current evidence-based guidelines and consensus recommendations to the evaluation and management of common pediatric conditions.
2. Incorporate emerging evidence and new therapeutic approaches into clinical practice when supported by the literature and patient circumstances.
3. Employ communication techniques that enhance shared decision-making and collaboration among patients, families, and healthcare teams.
4. Implement strategies to identify and mitigate barriers to care that contribute to disparities in pediatric health outcomes.
5. Determine when subspecialty referral is indicated and facilitate appropriate care coordination across healthcare settings.
