LOCATION: This is a blended event that will include both virtual and in-person components. Pre-recorded lectures, coursework and a moderated Zoom session must be completed by/take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 4 p.m. On Friday, November 4, attendees are required to be on-site, at Lurie Children's, in the 11th Floor Conference Center for the hands-on portion of the course, and for the final examination.
WORKSHOP DETAILS: Successful completion will satisfy NIOSH-approved training requirements for testing patients exposed to cotton dust, coal and silica dusts and other workplace materials. Participants will earn a certificate of attendance upon completion, after successfully passing the examination. The workshop will include:

- Pre-recorded lectures - virtual; must be viewed before 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022
- Coursework - virtual; must be completed before 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2002
- Attendees must participate in a moderated Zoom meeting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022 - details on the Zoom meeting will be emailed to all registrants in advance.
- In Person supervised hands-on training of spirometry will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 . Please plan to be onsite at Lurie Children's in the 11th Floor Conference Center on this day. Registration from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.. Hands-on training begins promptly at 7:30 a.m.
- The workshop will include all aspects of spirometry training, including anatomy, physiology, mechanics and ventilation, types of spirometers, environmental exposures, spirometry interpretation, infection control, and practice sessions
