Overview
This one-day symposium presented by the Department of Psychiatry is designed for pediatricians, family physicians and other healthcare providers. This one-day symposium will showcase the latest approach, updates and research related to several common behavioral and mental issues confronted by primary care providers. These longer sessions will attempt to address some of the more complex issues as well as those concerns that may be more simplistic but yet challenging in nature. Sprinkled with longer Q/A sessions throughout the one-day lecture will provide attendees with ample opportunity to ask thoughtful questions. Our speakers will address concerns and questions around behavioral issues, depression and anxiety as well as suicide and medication-hesistant guardians in those conditions clearly identified in the practice. There will also be a session on the complexities of our gender-diverse youth, medication management and behavioral issues in children with diagnosed behavioral disorders. This COURSE IS LIVE IN-PERSON CREDIT ONLY. It will not be streamed or recorded for on-demand viewing. If this course needs to be moved to a virtual format due to state mandates regarding Covid-19, we will notify you ASAP and proper credit will be discussed.
