Pediatric Pearls Spring 2016

This one-day symposium is designed for healthcare providers interested in learning about the latest treatment and management of skin disorders. In addition, brief and practical hints related to several topics including failure to thrive, menstrual disorders, pectus excavatum and newborn screening will be discussed. We will end the day with several case-based presentations on conditions often seen and diagnosed in the primary-care setting.

Objectives

  1. Recognize and manage acne, dermatitis and other skin eruptions in the child and adolescent
  2. Discuss the newest guidelines for newborn screening
  3. Recognize and manage common menstrual disorders
  4. Identify the child failing to thrive
  5. Discuss the options for pectus excavatum repair
  6. Recognize when a referral to a specialist is warranted

Following the morning lectures, participants will attend two smaller workshops called Breakout Sessions. Please select your top two choices from the Breakout Sessions listed below. We will try to accomodate your choices, but please note that space is limited and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Refunds/Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are only available on individual purchases, and must be made in writing to Catalina Denari at cdenari@luriechildrens.org, two weeks prior to the scheduled event. The paid registration, minus a $20 administrative fee, will be refunded. We cannot issue  refunds on the subscription packages, however, registrants may transfer tickets to their colleagues.
